PreZero CEO

Elsewhere, the German retail group has named Wolf Tiedemann as the chief executive of its environmental division, PreZero, succeeding Thomas Kyriakis.

Tiedemann, who presently serves as director of sales, logistics and central areas at Lidl International, will assume his new role on 1 October.

Previously, he worked for many years at Lidl Germany, as manager of central services.

As manager of Schwarz Service, he developed the logistics strategy of the business unit, and, as divisional director, he was responsible for real estate and logistics at Lidl International.

Theurer and Kyriakis are parting ways with Schwarz Group by mutual consent due to different views on the strategic direction of the business.

Board Changes In Lidl, Kaufland

Pierre Schalbe, the head of administration at Kaufland, will succeed Christian Groh as head of administration at Lidl International.

In a career spanning more than 20 years with the Schwarz Group, Schalbe held various management positions at Lidl Germany and internationally as well as Schwarz Production.

Since September 2019, he has been responsible for the administration department at Kaufland.

The company has named Matthias Oppitz, currently the head of countries at Lidl International, as Tiedemann's successor as head of sales, logistics and central areas.

Elsewhere, Ante Rados will succeed Schalbe and join the board of directors at Kaufland International.

Rados has worked with the Schwarz Group companies since 2005 and Kaufland since 2018.

As a member of the management team, he is currently responsible for international controlling, the company added.
