Prices Of Frequently Purchased Goods Dip By 0.1% In October In France: INSEE

The prices of frequently purchased goods dropped by 0.1% in hypermarkets and supermarkets in France in October, according to the latest data from INSEE.

Food and beverage prices in hypermarkets and supermarkets (excluding fresh produce) dropped 0.2% compared with September, while it increased by 0.2% on a year-on-year basis.

On a month-on-month basis, the prices of meat, beverages and other food products dropped by 0.3%, 0.2% and 0.1%, respectively.

The prices of cleaning and personal care products increased by 0.2% on a month-on-month basis, while the category reported a 1.3% decline compared to October 2019.
