Germany’s Aldi Nord has announced that it has launched a new channel on Instagram to attract potential employees and position itself as an attractive company.
The ‘aldinord.karriere’ channel on Instagram offers information about career opportunities at Aldi Nord.
The channel will feature job portraits in the form of videos and suggestions from employees for a successful application.
It will also provide answers to questions asked by followers about specific career topics, Aldi said.
'Behind The Scenes'
Personnel marketing officer at Aldi Nord, Laura Köneke, commented, "With our new recruiting channel, we want to enter into a dialogue with potential candidates, answer their questions and show what it looks like behind the scenes at Aldi Nord.”
The retailer aims to use Instagram to reach its main target group comprising young trainees, dual students and applicants for sales.
Köneke stated that it is important to show young professionals what to expect from Aldi Nord as an employer.
"They [young professionals] should know that we are there for our employees right from the start and why it is worth applying to Aldi Nord,” she explained.
