PLMA World Of Private Label Kicks Off Today In Amsterdam

The PLMA World of Private Label trade show, hosted by the Private Label Manufacturers’ Association, takes place today and tomorrow at RAI Amsterdam (29 and 30 May), and is set to welcome some 14,000 trade professionals from 115 countries, as well as more than 2,500 exhibitors and 60 national and regional pavilions.

This includes, for the first time, exhibitors from Thailand, Brazil, Peru, Slovakia and Belarus.

This year, the total net exhibition surface at the RAI will be 41,500 square metres – a 4% increase on last year – and the theme of this year’s event is ‘Build Your Private-Label Business with PLMA’.

Something For Everyone

Easily accessible from both the centre of Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport, the World of Private Label exhibition covers 14 exhibit halls in the RAI, divided across three main complexes.

The Europa Complex is devoted to food products, while the Holland Complex features exhibitors displaying non-food products. Lastly, the Park Complex will play host to both food and non-food products.

Product categories on display on the show floor will include fresh, frozen and refrigerated foods, dry grocery, and beverages, as well as non-food categories like cosmetics, health and beauty, household products, auto care, garden products, house wares, and DIY.

The show will also play host to a number of additional features, including the popular PLMA Idea Supermarket, where visitors can see the products that won PLMA’s 2018 International Salute to Excellence Awards for innovation and quality in private label, as well as private-label ranges from more than 60 retailers around the world.

Allied to the Idea Supermarket is the New Product Expo, where visitors can see the latest innovations from companies exhibiting at the show – the perfect preparation before hitting the show floor.

To add an extra level of assistance, PLMA also offers a matchmaker service, which helps preregistered visitors arrange appointments online with exhibitors in advance of the show.
