From 1 September, Joëlle Bejjani, the current sales development director in France, will assume the position of commercial and supply chain director of Carrefour Polska and a member of its management board.

Joëlle Bejjani

Bejjani has almost 24 years of experience in Carrefour. She joined Carrefour in 1999 and has held various positions in France and in the commercial department of the Carrefour Group.

In 2014, she moved to China, where she was appointed national merchandise project director and sales development and pricing director.

Elsewhere, Nicolas Legendre will assume the position of financial director of the retailer's Polish unit and member of its management group, effective 1 August.

In August 2011, Legendre joined Carrefour as internal auditor for Europe and South America. From July 2022, he served as the financial director at Eureca within the Carrefour Group. Before assuming this role, Nicolas was the controlling director at Carrefour Polska.

He will replace Jean-Francois Dohogne, who has been appointed CFO and member of the management group of Carrefour Italia.

'Equal Opportunities'

"It is with great joy that I would like to emphasise the fact that two more women will join the top managerial positions of Carrefour Polska," said Tareck Ouaibi, president of the management board of Carrefour Polska.

"One of the pillars of our strategy is diversity. We implement it by implementing e.g. policy of equal opportunities on the labour market, including the pursuit of parity in our business environment. I believe that the example always comes from above and with the changes I announce today, I am glad that at the management level we will work in full parity - in the composition of three women and three men," Ouaibi added.
