Lidl To Invest €90 Million In Catalonia

Discounter Lidl has announced plans to make a €90 million investment in Catalonia this year. Spokespersons for the retailer made the announcement during the opening of a new store on Comte d'Urgell in Barcelona.

As reported by abc.es, Lidl has constantly expanded since it opened in Spain in 1994, and currently operates 90 establishments in Catalonia, 50 of which are in the province of Barcelona.

As part of the announced investment, Lidl expects to open three new shops, located in Badalona, Sant Boi de Llobregat (Barcelona) and Girona, before February 2017.
