Russia's O'Key Group Launches New Mobile App

Russian retailer O'Key Group has released a new mobile app that fully aligns with its 'One Retail' concept.

The app allows customers to access the entire O'Key ecosystem from a single platform and engage with all  the group's sales channels.

The new app incorporates the latest technology and design trends aimed at enhancing the user experience.

The app offers a range of new features to help customers optimise their budget, while the interface has been streamlined to make navigation more intuitive and time-saving for shoppers. 

For example, users can plan out shopping lists while choosing specific products from a store's product mix and budget.


The app enables a single approach to communicate with the customer – both online and offline, the retailer added. This means that customers can use the app to register for the O'Key Group loyalty programme, access their shopping history and use coupons.

They can also access their e-loyalty card, earn and redeem points (regardless of the chosen sales channel), and stay up-to-date on promotions and discounts offered in the regions in which the retailer operates.

Customers can use the mobile app to order more than 20,000 SKUs in food and non-food categories from O'Key hypermarkets, including perishables like meat, poultry, fish, fruit and vegetables, bakery, and dairy. 

In addition, customers can opt for express delivery, delivery by a certain date and time, or pick up their orders from any O'Key hypermarket.



The updated app is already available for Android users and will be launched for iOS this month.

The retailer first launched its mobile app in 2016, which operated as an online store offering all the products and related goods available from the product mix at a traditional hypermarket.

In 2018, the Best Mobile App Awards' judging panel gave a platinum award to the O'Key app, commending its 'Mobile Family' function for convenience and ease of use. 

In addition, O'Key Group ranked second in the Retail Store Website category at the Golden Website and Golden App 2020 awards.


Elena Remennikova, e-commerce director at O'Key Group, said, "The rapid development of e-commerce and changes in consumer behaviour are retailers' main growth drivers. 

"With its omnichannel approach and suite of new features, the updated app will make O'Key a convenient hypermarket with integrated delivery options."
