Dutch retailer Plus has announced that it has added 14 new products to its private-label coffee range in the cups, capsules and beans segments.

The new additions include, among others, a premium line of slow-roasted coffee beans with distinct aroma and flavour under the Intenso and Orgins labels.

Brand Manager at Plus, Reinie Cazant, said, “I am proud of our new Plus private-brand coffee range, because it allows us to provide our customers with better and more affordable coffee.

“It is precisely at this time that there has been an enormous increase in in-home coffee consumption and a higher demand for bulk packaging, so [this is] the right time.”

Packaging Revamp

The retailer has also revamped the packaging of its entire own-brand coffee range, comprising filters, pods, cups, capsules and beans.

The company has removed aluminium from the packaging of coffee beans and filter coffee to facilitate recycling after disposal.

The retailer has increased the content of Nespresso compatible coffee cups by up to 13% and introduced a line of aluminium coffee cups.
