IPLC Announces Opening Of Nordic Office, Names New Partner

International Private Label Consult (IPLC) has announced that it has opened a new office to expand its consulting activities in the Nordic countries.

The consulting firm has appointed Jonas Kærgaard Petersen as a partner for Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.

An Experienced Professional

He is an experienced professional with a deep understanding of the private label market in the Nordic countries and a strong international background.

Commenting on his new role, Kærgaard Petersen, said, “Whilst continually evaluating the market during my independent consulting journey it was clear IPLC stood out as the organisation providing the most extensive services within the private label industry.

“With my experience and deep understanding of the Nordic markets, I will seek to support retailers, private label manufacturers and suppliers. I believe my experience enables me to navigate them to success.”

Most recently, he served as an independent consultant on projects in various categories such as diapers, canned fish and baby food.

Earlier, he worked for 15 years with Denmark’s Nopa Nordic Group, a private label manufacturer of household cleaning and personal care products.

He also has hands-on commercial experience in overseas markets such as Asia, the US and Australia.

'Opportunity For Growth'

Managing partner at IPLC, Koen de Jong, commented, “The Nordic countries have a rather complex and fragmented retail structure but there is plenty opportunity for growth in private labels, notably at the sustainability end of the market.

“On the other hand, we can learn a great deal from the experience that Jonas will bring to our team. We shall continue to further expand our pool of private label professionals with vast know-how and experience in retail and manufacturing.”

Focus On Sustainability

Since 2007, Kærgaard Petersen has been promoting sustainability in private label manufacturing.

His efforts resulted in the development of award-winning products that proved to be profitable and sustainable.

Kærgaard Petersen added, “I closely follow the latest trends and developments in sustainability and enjoy reading reports and keeping track of consumer behaviour, packaging and plastic reduction.”
