Carrefour Argentina Launches Rapid Delivery With Bringo

Carrefour Argentina has teamed up with Bringo to offer customers rapid delivery under 60 minutes, with features such as personal assistant for each order and special discounts in participating stores.

The initiative will help Carrefour Argentina strengthen its position as a provider of home delivery services for food and other products.

At the initial stage, Bringo will operate in select Carrefour Argentina stores in central Buenos Aires.

It will soon be extended to the Greater Buenos Aires area, and then to other retail outlets, including pharmacies, health food stores, pet shops, fast food outlets, restaurants, cafés, and clothing and electronics stores, to name just a few.

Leonardo Arcas, director of sales and e-commerce with Carrefour Argentina, said, "With the launch of Bringo, we are offering our customers one more purchasing channel combining speed, assortment and attractive promotions. And this is the first app to allow interaction between a personal assistant [...] and the customer, who can give their personal assistant special instructions when completing their order."

Bringo offers other innovative features too. Customers can add items to their shopping baskets simply by scanning products in their fridge or cupboards, and can opt for immediate or deferred same-day delivery of their purchases by choosing the time slot most convenient to them.

Arcas added, "This app offers unique quality of service thanks to direct communication between the customer and their personal assistant, who can take the customer's preferences into account when fulfilling their orders. And customers can also ask their personal assistant to add items after completion of their order and before paying. So if they forget something or change their mind about a certain item, they can make those changes in real time."

Carrefour's omni-channel presence has been in place for several years now.

It offers an ample product assortment at unbeatable value for money via 600 outlets up and down the country, all formats combined – Express, Market, Maxi, Hyper, and E-commerce.

The launch of Bringo is a valuable addition to Carrefour's digital ecosystem and an innovative solution to its customers' needs.

In August, Carrefour Romania and Bringo launched a fast delivery service in Bucharest and Iasi and added more delivery areas in Mangalia, Craiova, and Resita.
